The 19th edition of the Asian Games 2023 is going on in Hangzhou city of China from 23rd September to 8th October 2023. India has sent a total of 655 players for 40 games and their performance has been magnificent.

At the Asian Games 2023, athletics continued providing India medals. Annu Rani and Parul Chaudhary won the first-ever gold medals for the nation in the women’s javelin throw and women’s 5000 meters respectively.

The Indian men’s cricket team stormed into the semi-finals after a 23-run win against Nepal on their Asian Games debut. Yashasvi Jaiswal smashed his first T20I ton, becoming the youngest T20I century-maker from India. After winning by 23 runs against Nepal in their opening Asian Games match, the Indian men’s cricket team swiftly advanced to the semifinals. Yashasvi Jaiswal hit his first T20I century 100 run in 48 balls, marking him the youngest Indian to do so.
First-time added women’s cricket team led by Harman Prit Kaur in Hangzhou 2022 Asian Games defeated Srilanka by 19 runs in T20 cricket game.
The women’s kabaddi team returned to winning ways against the Republic of Korea while the men’s team beat neighbor Bangladesh in their opener.
Squash medals were ensured by Saurav Ghosal, mixed doubles teams Dipika Pallikal-Harinder Pal Singh Sandhu, and Anahat Singh-Abhay Singh. PV Sindhu and HS Prannoy, meanwhile, had excellent debuts in the badminton singles competition. India is ready to break a record in Hangzhou after securing medals in boxing and squash.
