To create this focus on how to draw light, we’ll form with the light itself. You can start by drawing a curved line for the top of the light shell. You can then draw a flat semi-circle in the base for the opening of the lamp. It wouldn’t be a lamp without a bulb to provide light, so we’ll end this step by drawing the same bulb. You can draw this bulb by drawing another curved line inside the opening of the bulb. Once you’re happy with how it looks, we can move on to step 2!
Step 2: Following, remove the front of the light associate.
Many lamps will have an adjustable arm that will allow you to position it according to your needs. We will start hand drawing your lamp in the next step. First, you can draw a square shape on top of the lamp head where the arm will attach. Then there will be two short lines out of this square shape, which will attach to another rounded shape on one side with a straight edge on the other. For the last part of this step, you can use a ruler to get perfectly straight lines. Once ready, extend a few straight lines from the previous shape you drew.
Step 3: Remove the remainder of the writing and the floor.
In this step of our guide on how to draw a lamp, we’ll finish the arm and base outline to prepare you for the final details. First, draw another one of those shapes with a rounded edge opposite a straight edge like you drew in the previous section.
Then continue two more straight lines at a downward angle from this shape, leading to the base. The base is simple and can be drawn as a relatively flat shape with a small switch. The area where the base connects to the arm will also have one of the same rounded shapes. When you repeat these aspects as they appear in the image, you will be ready for the next step!
Step 4: Directly restart counting more facts to the light.
We will add some finer details in this step and in the next step of drawing your lamp. We’ll focus on the spokes first, and while they may look like they’re made from solid parts, they’re two wires per arm. To create this effect, add a few more straight lines parallel to the inside edge of the hand outline.
It looks more complicated than it is, and the reference image will show you what it should look like! Next, add bolts to the arm connectors by adding a small circle with a line through each of these connectors. Finally, you can add some detail to the line of the lamp head, bulb, and base.
